Kitting out Hockey Wales with Castore
After a competitive tendering process we were proud to announce in early 2024 that we were partnering with Hockey Wales (or Hoci Cymru) alongside Castore.
In case the name didn’t give it away, Hockey Wales are the national governing body for hockey in Wales. They are responsible for the development of the sport from top to bottom, from grassroots to the elite level.
The organisation was seeking out a new apparel partnership that would bring to life a new and uniformed aesthetic across national teams, academy players, masters, staff and other key stakeholders.
Ecommerce Expertise
An important factor that helped us to stand out from the competition was our offering of a straightforward ordering process that would reduce the stress and administration time that collating kit orders ordinarily brings to staff.
Our proposal of an online retail platform was also highly appealing to them. Giving them the chance to reach a wider audience and provide access to the new Castore range to supporters across Wales and far beyond.
The custom e-commerce platform ensures that new products are available directly to consumers. There is also an extended range behind a password protected link for Hockey Wales members and staff.
Bespoke Design & Additional Support
When it came to designing the match kit and wider range, our in-house design team worked very closely with Hockey Wales to put together bold, fresh designs that encompassed their values. This was brought to life through the subtle dragon scales and traditional Welsh colours around the collar & sleeve trim. We were able to provide a level of control and customisation to the client that no other supplier could have achieved.
The level of support that we have provided is not limited to the supply of kit. We’ve also offered marketing support including, but not limited to: graphics & an animation to help announce the partnership, materials such as roller banners, QR code plaques and programme adverts.
What Next?
As part of this long term agreement, we’re excited to develop our relationship even further & start providing Castore Hockey opportunities to grassroots clubs in Wales.
It’s important to both ourselves and Hockey Wales that the partnership makes an impact at every level of the sport.
